Frontline Ltd.: Pollution Problem at Sea Solved ( with link)

14.08.2001

OSLO, Norway, Aug. 14, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) — With the present technology, emission of volatile organic compound (VOC) occurs during transport of oil at sea. Frontline Ltd. (Nasdaq:FRONY), the world’s largest tanker company, is now developing methods capable of reclaim all polluting gases produced during sea transport. The vessel “Front Granite” has successfully tested the new technology developed in co-operation with the small Norwegian firm, Venturie AS.

This new technology eliminates the problem with pollution gases during the transportation of the oil and for technical, economical and environmental reasons. The technology is so favorable that Frontline intends to install it on all its oil cargo ships. The technology developed is also promising for solving several other environmental problems both on land and at sea.

We do not hesitate to name this a substantial achievement in the global struggle for saving our environment.
